Obituary of Carol Reid

Funeral services for Carol Johnson Reid, age 59, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to service time. A private graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon, Sunday, May 13, 2012 at East Bridgeport Cemetery in Bridgeport, TX. Pallbearers will be Carl Bryan, Shone Trimm, Roger Feagley, Jerry Voss, Gordon Payne and Scott Sarine. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Gillis. Carol passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Carol was born on July 23, 1952 in Greensboro, NC, the daughter of James Daniel (Dan) and Eunice (Payne) Johnson. She married Mike Reid on December 31, 1981 in Dallas, TX. He survives. Carol worked as an administrative assistant for the Sulphur Springs Economic Development Council. She was a member of the Pine Forest United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband she is survived by her parents, sister, Jan Johnson Brown and husband Kevin of Summerfield, NC, and one nephew Tyler Sebastian.
