Obituary of James Jones

James Jones, age 77, of Sulphur Springs passed away Friday, July 12, 1013 Carriage House Manor. Mr. Jones was born on August 13, 1935 in Miami, OK, the son of Charles and Bessie Ann (Crosby) Jones. He married Ruth Ann Holden on September 5, 1958 in Miami, OK. She preceded him in death. Mr. Jones served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Miami Housing Authority as head of maintenance and retired in 2008. He was a member of Lake Highland Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Mark Jones of Miami, OK, two daughters, Janis Ingram and husband Danny and Jozie and Husband Kent Johnson all of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Pepper Jansen, Scott Hammans, T. J. Ingram, Kalie Floyd, Ashly Johnson, Tiffany and Alyssia Jones, great-grandchildren, Kolby Sonntag, Hunter Sonntag, Syanna Jansen, Dezyre Ingram, Dayden Floyd, Autumn Hammans, John Hammans, Aysia Johnson, Shevy Hodges and Kloie May. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and granddaughter, Amanda Jones. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
