Obituary of Percy Medina

Graveside services for Percy Medina, age 67, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012 at New Harmony Cemetery in Ladonia, TX, with Anthony Medina and Cruz Medina officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Slay, Ray Kirkpatrick, Ryan Swan, Benjamin Bement and Daniel Wood. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Medina passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Medina was born on September 29, 1944 in Roswell, New Mexico, the son of Felix and Sirilda (Hernandez) Medina. He married Wanda Jackson on November 19, 1987 in Hugo, OK. She survives. Mr. Medina was a retired minister and a member of Full Gospel House of Prayer. In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Franklin Medina, Julie Puckett and husband Jason, Anthony Medina and wife Stormy, two brothers, Luis Medina of Roswell, NM, Rev. Anastacio (Cruz) Medina of Sulphur Springs, three sisters, Josephina Medina of Roswell, NM, Elvira Howard of Detroit, MI, Esuvra Contreras of California, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, Felix Medina, Felix Medina, Galbert Medina, Raymon Medina, Catarino Morales, Jesus Morales and Octaviano Morales, five sisters, Viola Grant, Deluvina Medina, Fedelina Medina, Mary Medina and Juanita Morales.
