Obituary of Kenneth White

Funeral services for William Kenneth “W. K.” White, 82, of Saltillo, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2012 in the West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Moore officiating. Full Military Graveside Honors will follow at Weaver Cemetery with James Cross, Ed Woodruff, Lonnie Ball, Joe France, Jim Briggs, Jerry Graves, and Taff Sykle serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Holley, I.T. Adams, Bullet Bagby, Fred Martin, H.T. Hamric, Jerry Burk Davis, and Vernon Graves. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. White passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born on May 7, 1929 in Sulphur Springs, TX the son of Hubert and Neva (Payne) White. He married Flo Ruggles on January 7, 1950 in Lamesa, TX. She preceded him in death in 1996. Mr. White played baseball all through high school, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in the 2nd Battalion 110th Infantry Division, and later retired from Shell Oil Company. He was a member of the Weaver Baptist Church. He is survived by son, K.C. White and wife Deborah of Saltillo, grandchildren, Heather M. Sutton and husband Travis of Longview, Christopher K. White of Saltillo, Shawn R. White and wife Danielle of Coronado, CA, Brandon White and wife Emma of Saltillo, and Brian White of McKinney, great-grandchildren, Alex Sutton, Riley Ragan, Kaylor White, Amberly White, and Hallie White.
