Obituary of Gertrude Rowe

Memorial services for Gertrude "Geri" May Rowe, age 67, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Hall officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Rowe passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rowe was born on January 17, 1945 in Denver, CO, the daughter of John H. and Virgie (Light) Heller. She married Terry Rowe on May 15, 1969 in Sulphur Springs. He survives. Mrs. Rowe worked as a nurse through the Texas Department of Justice substance abuse in Winnsboro. She was a member of the LadyÂ’s Auxiliary VFW Post 8560 and was of the Baptist faith. Other survivors include her children, Russell Rowe and wife Ronda of Texarkana, Betty Rendon and husband John of Denver, CO, Sheila Richter of Cassadaga, NY, brothers, Hank and Dan Dietz both of Denver, CO, sisters, Mary Light and Pauline Tomsick both of Denver, CO, grandchildren, Isabella, Kirstain, Joshua, Jennifer, Sara, Kevin, Eric, and John Paul.
