Obituary of Raymond McClung
Funeral services for Ray McClung, age 91, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the Spence Chapel at First Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with grandson's, Brad Bridges, Andy Bridges, Ryan Bridges, Michael OÂ’Campo, Jay McClung and Lane McClung serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be The Joy Sunday School Class. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to service time at Spence Chapel. Mr. McClung passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Carriage House Manor. Mr. McClung was born on March 12, 1920 in Winnsboro, TX, the son of Alec and Sally (Sparks) McClung. He married Monna Emerson on March 22, 1947. She survives. Mr. McClung was a milkman for BordenÂ’s for over 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for over 45 years. Mr. McClung served in the United States Army/Air Force and was a Mason. Other survivors include his children, Sarah McClung Bridges and husband Bernard of San Antonio, TX, Garry McClung and wife Patsy of Sulphur Springs, brother, William McClung of Garland, TX, grandchildren, Brad Bridges, Andy Bridges, Ryan Bridges, Elizabeth Bridges OÂ’Campo, Jay McClung and Lane McClung, great-grandchildren, Johni Catherine McClung and Hayden Michael OÂ’Campo. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Homer McClung, Herman McClung and Truman McClung, sisters, Della McClung Woody, Ella McClung, Jewel McClung and Gladine Henry.
