Obituary of Dalton Fronoberger
Funeral services for Dalton William Froneberger, age 95, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Tommy Hall officiating. Military graveside honors by the Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Keith Stewart, Chris Rosamond, Matt Rosamond, Chris Voorheese, David Nordin and Daniel Nordin serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at West oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Froneberger passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Clyde W. Cosper, Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas. He was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on December 23, 1916, to Walter William and Bennie Joe (Jolley) Froneberger. He married Gladys Katrina Reynolds on December 20, 1947. She preceded him in death on October 19, 1994. Mr. Froneberger was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Corp serving in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany. He was a member of the 526 Fighter Squadron, 86 Fighter Group. He operated a dairy and later raised cattle. He enjoyed fixing things, had a fondness for repairing old clocks and was an excellent wood worker. He was a member of the Country Church where he served as a deacon. He is survived by his children, Linda Rosamond and husband Ed, Johnny Froneberger and wife Eva all of Sulphur Springs, Texas; one sister, Freida Nordin; seven grandchildren, Marcie Nordin Stewart, David Nordin, Chris Rosamond, Lori Rosamond Voorheese, Matt Rosamond, Micca Sheedy and Ashley Sheedy and seventeen great-grandchildren.
