Obituary of Donald Callahan

Memorial services for Donald Callahan, 64, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Henry officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Callahan passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Callahan was born on October 6, 1947 in The Rock, GA, the son of Elmo and Lois (McDaniel) Callahan. He married Sharon Shannon on May 24, 1968 in Kingsland, GA. She survives. Mr. Callahan was an engineer and worked in telecommunications and retired in 1987. He served in the United states Army during the Viet Nam war. Other survivors include his son, Joe Callahan of Richardson, TX, daughters, Angela Lundak and husband Joel of Myerstown, PA, Rhonda Wilcox and husband Stephen of Commerce, TX, brother, Bobby Callahan of Thomaston, GA, sisters, June Fordham of Panama City Beach, FL, Jeanette King of Thomaston, GA, grandchildren, Courtney, Clair, Grace Callahan, Joshua and Haley Lundak, Amanda, Ashley and Aubrey Wilcox.
