Obituary of Marie Woodall

Graveside services for Marie Elaine Williams Woodall, age 68, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at I.O.O.F. cemetery with Bro. Ronny Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Woodall passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Woodall was born on August 31, 1943 in Water Valley, MS, the daughter of James Ellis and Marie (Chapman) Williams. She married James Woodall on June 26, 2003 in Sulphur Springs. He survives. Mrs. Woodall was a reading teacher at John Tyler High School and graduated with honors at the University of Texas in Tyler. She was a member of Mensa and the TeacherÂ’s Union. Marie also belonged to two national honor society's Kappa Delta PI and Beta Alpha PSI. Her membership was with Divide Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Terry Sanders of Cordova, TN, two daughters, Treva Sanders Prater and husband John Scott of Van, TX, Tracy Sanders Olsen and husband Vaedynn of Allen, TX, step-sons, Chris Woodall of Sulphur Springs, Jeff Woodall and wife Anna of Denton, TX, sisters, Patricia Williams Ferrell and Jimmie Carol Williams Baker both of Oxford, MS, grandchildren, Gregory Sanders, Aric Stroop, Maranda Prater, Kevin Prater, Austin Prater, Aleah Prater, Amanda Minsky, Zachary Minsky, Sophia Schooley, Brooke Woodall, Cameron Woodall, Brittany Woodall, great-grandchildren, Kaylee Gottier and Melody Sanders and numerous nieces and nephews.
