Obituary of Susie Crabtree

Funeral services for Susie Oakley Crabtree will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Al Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Reilly Springs Cemetery with Russell Galloway, Frankie Moeller, Gary Toles, Jonathan Toles, Andrew Galloway, Drew Campbell, Nathan Woodard and Michael McFatridge serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies of Grace. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 prior to service time. Susie Oakley Crabtree, age 95, of Sulphur Springs passed away at 3:00 a.m., Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was the eighth of nine children of John J. Oakley and Ludy Williams Oakley. She was preceded in death by her husband John P. Crabtree, one daughter, five sisters, and three brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Crabtree, Virginia Galloway and husband R. H., one son, Johnny M. Crabtree and wife Phyllis of Lebanon, TN, one grandson, Russell Galloway and wife Tammy, three granddaughters, Renae and husband Gary, Rhonda Moeller and husband Frankie, and Sue Siens and husband Tim, seven great- grandchildren. four great great grandchildren. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Mrs. Crabtree was a member of The Church Of God for seventy seven years. She loved working with the youth and later taught the adult Sunday school class for many years. She attended the Grace Family Church the last thirteen years of her life.
