Obituary of Billie Eppars
Funeral services for Billie Dove Patton Eppars, 81, of Cumby, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian Ethridge, missionary to the Philippians. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Eppars passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Briarcliff Health Center of Greenville. Mrs. Eppars was born on August 27, 1930 in Hopkins County the daughter of Charlie and Nettie (Lawson) Patton. She married O. C. Eppars and he preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Eppars was a homemaker and a member of Brashear Baptist Church where she at one time taught the ladies Sunday school class. She is survived by her daughters, Quita Slaton and husband Richard of California, Cherri Ethridge and husband Johnny of Cumby, Brenda Gardner of Ft. Worth, sons, Jimmy Eppars and wife Robin of Houston, Wade Eppars and wife LaVanna and Michael Eppars all of Cumby, sister, Margarett Louise Marks and husband Ed of Fate, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, J. P. Patton, 2 grandchildren, Shane Eppars and Jeffrey Ethridge. Memorials may be made to Fruitfull Harvest, P. O. Box 1130, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
