Obituary of Wanda Alexander
Graveside services for Wanda Nan Alexander, age 74, of Brashear will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Sherley Cemetery with Neal Alexander officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday September 26, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Mrs. Alexander passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Heart Hospital-Baylor in Plano. Mrs. Alexander was born on May 13, 1937 in Cumby, TX, the daughter of Sam and Nealie (Butler) Barrett. She married E. L. “Junior” Alexander on July 7, 1951. He survives. Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker. Other survivors include her son, David Alexander and wife Emily of Brashear, three grandchildren, Kim Self and husband Chris of Brashear, Dan Alexander and wife Rebecca of Sulphur Springs, Neal Alexander and wife Pamela of Sherman, great-grandchildren, Derek and Haylee Millard, Heather, Dalton and Devin Self, Abbie, Ellie, Katie, and Andrew Alexander, Jordan and Samuel Alexander, and two foster great grandchildren, two sisters, Merle McCarty and Ruby Smith of Sulphur Springs, and one sister-in-law Eddene Roberts of Brashear. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lloyd Thomas, William Barrett, Walter Barrett, Gene Barrett; two sisters, Lillian Carpenter and June Matthews; and one great grandchild, Krysten Ann Millard.
