Obituary of Russell Sutterfield

Funeral services for Russell Wilbur Sutterfield, age 68, of Brashear will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September26, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Palmer officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Sutterfield, Scooter Sutterfield, Greg Lewis and Terry Butler. Mr. Sutterfield passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Mr. Sutterfield was born on April 30, 1943 in Beardstown, IL, the son of Emitt Benjamin and Virginia Mae (Scott) Sutterfield. He married Debra Ross and she survives. Mr. Sutterfield retired as a manager for Nortel Networks where he worked in telecommunications. Mr. Sutterfield was a Mason (32nd degree) and a member of Scottish Rite. In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother, Virginia Mae Scott of Jerseyville, IL, daughters, Merri Sutterfield Butler and husband John T. of Temple, Teresa Sutterfield Lewis and husband Gregg of Rockwall, sons, Russell Scott Sutterfield and wife Sunnie Nicole of Pollock, TX, Emitt Dale Sutterfield and wife Teri Palmer of Lubbock, TX, grandchildren, Bryson and Bradon Sutterfield of Lubbock, TX, Chelsea Lavon Butler of Temple, TX, Justin, Kayleigh, and Blake Lewis all of Rockwall, TX, Shyann and Shaelynn Sutterfield of Pollock, TX, sister, Pat Sutterfield Revis and husband Jesse of Barry, IL, brothers, Paul Sutterfield and wife Ruth and Ernie Sutterfield and wife Sharon all of Beardstown, IL, numerous nieces and nephews and loved ones.
