Obituary of Wilma Wallace
Funeral services for Wilma J. Wallace, formerly Wilma J. Rholes, age 82, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola at 1:30 p.m. with Ryan Rholes, Edward Rholes, Eric Rholes, Eric Walden II, Jordan Walden and Micah Walden serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Wallace passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital. Mrs. Wallace was born on June 11, 1929 in Morris County, the daughter of Austin and Edith Marie Parham. She married Frank W. Rholes III in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1990. She married M. E. Wallace in 1998 and he preceded her in death in 2010. Mrs. Wallace was a Teacher for over 30 years and she retired from the Sulphur Springs Independent School District. She was a member of the League Street Church of Christ and the Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by two sons, Steve Rholes and wife Ramona Paetzold of College Station, Gary Rholes and wife Julie of Center, step-children, David Wallace and wife Carolyn of Sunnyvale, W. E. “Paul” Wallace and wife Linda of Sulphur Springs, Mathew Wallace of Alto, Mark Wallace of Rockwall, Jeff Sterling of Rockwall, Lydia Walden and husband Eric of Commerce, brother, Glen Parham and wife Jeanette of Mt. Pleasant, sisters, Christine Ballew of Lakeway, Lonita Thompson of Daingerfield, grandchildren, Ryan Rholes, Kelly Rholes Bara, Edward Rholes and Eric Rholes, step-grandchildren, Dr. Brian Wallace, Melissa Gastineau, Jonathan Wallace, Benjamin Wallace, Eric Walden II, Jordan Wallace, Micah Walden, Chesley Powell, Justin Peterson, Alyssa Peterson and seven step-great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by her parents.
