Obituary of Jewel Cartwright

Funeral services for Jewel Mae Pritchett Cartwright, age 88, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Freedom Church of God in Emory with Rev. David Hamm and Rev. Kenneth Ishmael officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery with Rayborn Moreland, Jerry Pritchett, Danny Pritchett, Donald Pritchett, Doug Pritchett and Ronnie Pritchett serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Moreland and Michael Pritchett. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Cartwright passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. She was born on June 22, 1923 in Hopkins County the daughter of Albert Leotis and Mary Lula (McLaughlin) Pritchett. Mrs. Cartwright was a homemaker and for 12 years worked in shipping with Sears and Roebuck. She is survived by her sister, Mamie Moreland of Yantis, brothers, Dewit Pritchett and wife Billie of Texarkana, Billy Pritchett and wife Barbara of Edgewood and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husband, 4 brothers, Cecil, Odie, Ardell and Lewis Wayne Pritchett. Memorials may be made to Legacy Hospice, The Hope Foundation, 120 E.
