Obituary of Jerald Davis

Memorial services for Jerald Dee Davis, age 68, of Cumby, formerly of Fairlee, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Cumby with Rev. David Burns officiating. Mr. Davis passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Davis was born on May 21, 1943 in Commerce, TX, the son of John and Hazel (Williams) Davis. He married Linda Martin on September 30, 1961 in Cumby. She survives. Mr. Davis was a professional driver for over 25 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cumby. In additional to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Darla Higginbotham and husband David of Cumby, son, Scott Davis of Cumby, brother, Larry Davis and wife Sandra of Cumby, sisters, Joan Smith and husband Billy Jack of Canton, Brenda Stewart and husband Bruce of The Colony, grandchildren, Colby Garrett and wife Angela of Camden, AR, Cassie Garrett of Cumby, great-grandchildren, Dylan and Landon Garrett. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mark, sisters, Rosemary, Dorothy and Betty Joyce.
