Obituary of James Parker

Funeral services for James Henry Parker, age 71, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Cypress Cemetery with James Stephen Parker, Jr., Justin Parker, Michael Laymon, Rusty Russell, William Russell, and Brian Monk serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time beginning at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Parker passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 29, 1939 in Winfield, TX. Mr. Parker was a salesman for National Cylinder Gas. Mr. Parker is survived by one son, James Stephen Parker, Sr. and wife Rita of Garland, two daughters, Sandra Laymon and husband Carl Lamb of Garland, Sheryl Robbins and husband Jerry of Plano, grandchildren, James Stephen Parker, Jr. and wife Stacy of Allen, Justin Parker of Dallas, Krista Laymon of Garland, Michael Laymon of Garland, Kristen Robbins and Kyle Robbins of Plano, three great-grandchildren, brothers, William Russell and wife Kathy, Howard Russell and wife Sharon all of Saginaw, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
