Obituary of Betty Jean Rollison

Funeral services for Betty Jean Rollison, age 68, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 1, 2014 Mitchell Chapel Church of God In Christ with Supt. Nelson Gatlin officiating. Interment will follow at Mel Haven Cemetery with Brian Franklin, Brandon Franklin, Cleveland Lindley, Vincent Franklin, Antoine Rollison, Tyrik Rollison, serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Reed, Robert Franklin, Tremayne Jones. There will be no formal visitation. Betty passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Betty was born on June 6, 1945 in Greenville, TX, the daughter of Willie and Melvina (Neal) Nelson. Betty was a certified nurse assistant and a member of Mitchell Chapel Church of God In Christ. She is survived by two sons, Alton Nelson and wife Teresa and Anthony Rollison all of Sulphur Springs, one daughter, Brenda Rollison and husband Michael of Sulphur Springs, one brother, Larry Nelson of Banning , CA, three sisters, Minnie Cullors of Banning, CA, Margie Reed and Mary Nelson both of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Samantha Nelson, Temeka Clayton, Antione Rollison, Lacresha Hubbard, Tyrik Rollison, Quatina Goodson, Markiest Goodson and Kwane Goodson, 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, R. D. Orka, Willie Ray Nelson, J. W. Nelson, sisters, Mattie Mae Holliness, Magalene Askew and Cleo Nelson.
