Obituary of John Murray Quisenberry

Funeral service for John Murray Quisenberry, age 76, of Sacramento, CA, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Jim Skaggs officiating. Interment will follow at Seymore Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. John passed away on September 28, 2019 in Sacramento. He was born on June 19, 1943 in Summerville, South Carolina, the son of Dr. Rhodes and Elizabeth Quisenberry. Johnny was a Civil Engineer, a Veteran, a Gideon, and most of all he was a friend to so many. Johnny served in his church until he no longer could. He left to cherish sweet memories of this gentle, loving, humble and kind man, immediate family, wife, and best friend, Jean Marie, beloved and special grandson, Ryan. Also survived by Ryan's wife, Danielle, sisters, Midge and Rhoda, daughters, Patti and Carole, and son, Jimmy, grandfather to Jenny and husband Jake, James Covert, great-grandfather, "GGPa," to Eleanor and Adam. From South Carolina to California and in between, Johnny also leaves behind cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded by parents, Rhodes and Elizabeth, and brother, Frankie. Johnny's heart was always in Summerville and the family there that he so loved, many gone on now. We will see you again sweet Johnny when we join you in Heaven.
