Obituary of Lupe Contreras

Funeral mass of Christian burial for Jose Guadalupe “Lupe” Contreras, age 46, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church with Father Juan Carlos Sardinas officiating. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2019 with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Lupe passed away on September 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born on January 24, 1973 in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of Ricardo Contreras and Maria Lourdes Contreras. He worked in construction for Superior Building and Renovation. He is survived by his parents, sons, Martin and Demazio Contreras, daughters, Elizabeth Koener and husband Daniel, Samantha Thomas and husband Ethan, Janet Contreras and husband Jordan Hall, mother of his children, Janet Weeks, brothers, Juan Contreras and wife Wanda, Frank Contreras and wife Carmen, Antonio Contreras and wife Veronica, Luz Contreras and wife Sibilia, Ricardo Contreras and wife Tammy, sisters, Lourdes Contreras, Socorro Contreras and husband Joe Perez, and grandchildren, E’Leyna Koerner, Ella Koerner, Paisley Thomas, Christopher Liam Hall, Haddix Wilburn Contreras, and Amilia Contreras.
