Obituary of Lora Manico

Funeral services for Lora V. Manico, 87, of Garland, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Barr officiating. Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to service time. Lora passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett. She was born on March 3, 1926 in Globe, AZ, the daughter of Ray and Hazel Jones McKinney. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Como. She worked for sears for 15 years and was also a homemaker. She is survived by son, Billy Dean Baker and wife Sara of Allen, daughter, Lynda Houston and husband William of Garland, grandchildren, Steven Ray Houston and wife Deborah, Laurie Lynn Catherwood and husband Larry, Paul Scott Houston and wife Marlana, Daniel Ross Houston and wife Alicia, Deana Lewis and husband Dan, David Baker and wife Misty, Rene Demeree and husband Michael, Tabathia Baker, Erin Baker, Andrew Baker and wife Pamela, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Jack Baker in 1981, Norman Manico in 1993, son, Neale Lynn Baker, daughter, Dianne Kay Baker, and brothers, Bobby Joe McKinney, Wayne Jones McKinney.
