Obituary of Nell Ross

Funeral services for Nell Ross, age 98, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., prior to service. Nell passed away on April 17, 2019 at Willow Bend Assisted Living in Denton, TX. She was born on June 1, 1920 in Como, TX, the daughter of Oscar and Effie Mae Coker White. She married James Lorell Ross on May 27, 1938. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2005. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. She is survived by son, James Alan Ross and wife Jois of Denton, son-in-law, Charles Kurkjian of Frisco, granddaughters, Christi Kurkjian of Sulphur Springs, Debbie Kurkjian of Frisco, Kati Kurkjian of Frisco, sister, Jackie Dodd Roundtree of Como, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Teresa Ann Ross Kurkjian. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Television Ministry at 116 Oaks Avenue, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
