Obituary of LaWanda Nell Elmore

Graveside services for LaWanda Nell Elmore, age 89, of Greenville, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Shiloh Cemetery in Campbell with Joe Perkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at West Oaks Funeral Home, prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Tommy Dickens, Shawn Elmore, Casey Elmore, Clayton George, Cade George, and Ricky Bridges. LaWanda passed away on April 4, 2019 at her daughter’s residence. She was born on January 1, 1930 in Greenville, the daughter of William Peyton and Boud Ophell Stevenson Bridges. She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church in Campbell. She married Bill Elmore on July 27, 1946 in Rockwall. He preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter, Patricia Dickens and husband Tommy of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Shawn Elmore and wife Dawn of Campbell, Angie George and husband Clayton of Keller, Daphne Bozarth and husband Aaron, Melanie Elmore, Kyle Elmore and wife Emma, great-grandchildren, Josey Elmore, Casey Elmore, Chloe, Claire, Carlee, Cade, Chandler George, brothers, Larry Bridges and wife Ada of Magnolia, William Bridges of Friendswood, and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, son, Butch Elmore, grandson, Kevin Dickens, and granddaughter, Felicia Elmore.
