Obituary of Walton Mitchell

Funeral services for Walton Oran Mitchell, age 79, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Rawlinson and Rev. Mike Easson officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Star Cemetery in Clarksville with Clay Mitchell, Cole Mitchell, Bo Potts, Wade Juarez, Bill Dufrene, Chris Kinworth, Keith Cole and Albert Cline. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Potts, Harold Deaton, Ronny Glossup, Gene Barnett, Roger Maynard, Buck Fleet, R. L. Wright and Earl Gaddy. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Mitchell passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. Mr. Mitchell was born on July 17, 1934 in Sulphur Bluff the son of Arthur Milton and Sarah Viola (Rawlinson) Mitchell. He married Janice Byers on May 4, 1957 in Reo River County. She preceded him in death. Mr. Mitchell was a dozer operator and a member of Martin Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by sons, W. O. Mitchell, Jr., of Sulphur Bluff, John Mitchell and wife Laura of Pickton, daughters, Anida Reed and husband Greg of Como, Eva Froneberger and husband Johnny of Sulphur Springs, sister, Margaret Wassom and husband Jerry, grandchildren, Wade Juarez and wife Olivia, Holly Allen and husband Tim, Melinda Juarez, Micca Sheedy, Ashley Sheedy, Carmen Dufrene and husband Bill, Courtney Mitchell, Clay Mitchell, Katie Kinworthy and husband Chris, Amanda Sharper and husband Ryan, Cole Mitchell and Lyndee Mitchell, 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Arthur Mitchell, Everett Mitchell, Otis Mitchell and wife Norene, Alton Mitchell, Clarence Mitchell and wife Doris, Archie Mitchell and wife Shirley, Harold Mitchell and Edwin Mitchell, sister, Lois Davidson, Mildred Lewis, Lolly Caperton and husband Wayne, daughter-in-law Angie Mitchell.
