Obituary of John Williams

Funeral services for John Steven Williams, 63, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Sickles officiating. Interment will follow at South Liberty Cemetery with Gerald White, Preston Boles, Joe Nickerson, Wesley Williams, Jimmy J. Williams, and Phillip Williams serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Steve passed away on January 13, 2014. He was born on May 6, 1950 in Dallas, TX, the son of John Phillip and Georgia Bell Raines Williams. He is survived by his mother, sons, John H. Williams and wife Yvette of Sulphur Springs, Tony Williams and wife Denise of Pickton, Kevin Williams and wife Elizabeth of Springfield, MO, sister, Carol Burkett of Waco, brother, Jimmy Williams and wife Rhonda of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Geoffrey Black of Sherman, Ashley Black of Whitewright, Wesley Williams and wife Shelby of Dike, Blake Williams, Lydia and Willie Black all of Sulphur Springs, Jessica and Jordan Williams of Pickton, Donovan, Alivia, Victoria, and Lillian Williams all of Springfield, MO, two great-grandchildren, uncle, George and wife Virginia Williams of Paris, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brother-in-law, Gerald Burkett, and niece, Jenny Taylor.
