Obituary of Aubrey Smith

Funeral services for Aubrey Smith, age 67, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home with pastor Willis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Ivan Wright, Kenneth Wright, Oscar Thomas, L. G. Fountain, David Johnson and Andrew Wright serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Daymon Nash, Tyler Ivery, Zane Sims, David Cambell, Adonis Thomas, Zylan Fobbs and Douglas Deloney. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Aubrey passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at his residence. He was born on November 18, 1946 in Rains County the son of Robert smith and Loutisha (Jackson) McMillan. He married Annie Thomas in June of 1967. She survives. Aubrey worked at CabbelÂ’s Trucking for 10 years and retired from Farmers Coop. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Kim Hearne and husband David, Caran Ivery, Uronda Deloney and husband Curtis, one son, Tony Thomas and wife Shevele, sisters, Gwen Savage and husband Troy, Linda Boyce, Janie Stenline, Johnnie Newhouse, Florstine Kanagae, brothers, Apostle Dwight Smith, Paul Smith and wife Sandra. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert Smith, Charles Smith, sisters, Barbara Hunter and Ernsteen Heath.
