Obituary of Ada Lou McSpadden

Graveside services for loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Ada Lou McSpadden, age 84, of Dike, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Connor Cemetery with Bro. Brandon Shurtilif officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.  Ada passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.  Ada was born on May 14, 1934 in Coolidge, AZ, the daughter of William Freeman Jordan and Lou Ella Cunningham Jordan.  Her husband of 52 years, Tony McSpadden, is originally from Marfa, Texas.  Ada was proud to be a homemaker, and delighted in cooking and caring for her family.  In addition to her husband Tony, she is survived by her son Anthony McSpadden of Austin, daughter Shavella Wood of Sulphur Springs, brother William W. Jordan and his wife Annie, sisters Sue I. Turner and Barbara Stephens, her grandchildren, Mark and Alina McSpadden, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brother, Lottie, Della, and George and her grandson Adrian Allen Wood.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org) or the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org/support).
