Obituary of Alvin A Patterson

Funeral services for Alvin A. Patterson, age 95, of Dallas, TX, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Timmerman and Bro. Jerry Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Simmons Cemetery in Cash, TX. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service, beginning at 12:30. Alvin passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. He was born on September 2, 1923 in Hopkins County, to Hilbert Eress and Trudy Eudora Patterson. He served in the United States Navy. He worked as a press operator for Cooper Industries for many years. He loved to play the guitar and sing. He also enjoyed working on small engines. He was a member of Urban Park Assembly of God Church in Dallas. He is survived by nieces, Glenda Gainer, Jannice Bina, nephew, Harlan Patterson, special  caregiver and friend, William O. Moody, and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, James and Rick Patterson, two brothers, Calvin and Glen Patterson, and one sister, Fay Patterson White.
