Obituary of Jason "Jay" Scott Smith

~The Life Story of Jason Scott Smith~ Jason Scott Smith was born August 30, 1979 in the city of Sulphur Springs, TX, at Memorial Hospital. He was the youngest of three that were born to the parentage of the late Robert Lewis Smith Sr. and Delores Bozeman Smith. Jason confessed a faith in Christ at an early age. Jason grew up in Emory and received his education at Rain ISD. He graduated from Rains High School in 1998. Jason worked for a brief time at Terry Furniture until his health failed. He met and married Bridget Harris in 2004. Jason was proceeded in death by his father, Robert Lewis Smith Sr., his grandparents, Odie B. Bozeman, Earnestine Nash Bozeman, Lutisha Jackson McMillan, R. P. Smith, and Jewel McMillan. He was also proceeded in death by three uncles, Elder Charles Smith, Aubrey Smith, and Tommy Bozeman. and his aunts, Earnestine Heath, and Barbara Smith Hunter. Jason’s memory will forever be cherished by his mother, Delores Smith, and two brothers, Robert Lewis Smith Jr. & Gary Lynn Smith both of Emory. He is also survived by two nieces Alyssa Bell Abron of Sulphur Springs, TX, and Lania Smith of Dallas, TX. His great-aunts include, Dorothy Bozeman, Varrie Bozeman, Annie Ruth Pickron, Nellie Summerfield, Helen Smith. His aunts, Connie Dunlap, Lucy Strange, Thelma Hobbs, (Elvin), Willie Robertson (Hubert), Swaunice McMillian, Lynda Boyce, Sandra Mayberry (Norris), Velma Johnson, Gwen Smith Salvage (Troy), and Florestine Karnegay, Johnnie Newhouse, and Ganie Stenline. His uncles include Elder Paul Smith (Sandra), Apostle Dwight Smith, Lee Bozeman (Susan). His great-uncle Othea Lee Jackson. He also leaves to cherish his memory a special uncle Odie B. Bozeman, Jr., a special friend Sheila Grimes and a host of cousins relatives and friends.
