Funeral services for Johnnie Mae Inman Froneberger, age 81, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at League Street Church of Christ with Minister Jerry Savage and Buddy Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at Sherley Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to service time at League Street Church of Christ. Johnnie passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ on September 22, 2015 at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs, TX. She was born on July 23, 1934 in Denton, TX, the daughter of John W. Inman and Ethel Jolly. Johnnie lived in Denton through the 7th grade before moving to Munday, TX where her parents were school teachers in the Munday ISD. Johnnie and her family moved to Sulphur Springs her senior year of High School, and following graduation she married Murry Froneberger on August 6, 1952 in Sulphur Springs, TX. Johnnie was so many things to her family and friends; a wife, mother, friend and a strong working woman, who liked to keep busy. She loved antiques and throughout her life went in and out of the antique business. In addition, she was a buyer of jewelry, furniture and appliances for several local businesses over the years. She started her working career very young working on Saturdays at Perry Brothers in Munday, TX for $1.80 a day. When working for GTE she was named Employee of the Year for GTE Southwest Region in 1980. After leaving GTE she went to work for Farmers Co-op managing the appliance department. She won a National Sales Contest by selling the most Whirlpool appliances and won a trip to the Canary Island. Her final job, the last several years, was working for her son, Doug Froneberger in his law office; where she not only was the first person to greet a client that came in the front door, but also managed the daily operations of the office. In addition, she found time to decorate the office with many of her personal antiques. Her biggest joy was her sons, and she could talk for hours about their accomplishments however small they might be. She was a faithful member of the League St. Church of Christ and enjoyed volunteering as a greeter making visitors, as well as, members of the Church feel welcome. Johnnie was always involved with the community especially when it came to the downtown revitalization and loved helping and serving others. She would be very proud of how the Sulphur Springs Square looks today. She is survived by her husband, Murry Froneberger, 3 sons, David Froneberger and wife Patti of Carrollton, TX, Doug Froneberger and wife Alison of Waco, and Dan Froneberger and wife Kathy of Sulphur Springs, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, J. W. Inman of Carrolton, GA, sister Dollie Inman Thornton and husband Jim of Ardmore, OK and brother, Joe Inman and wife Linda of San Antonio, TX, as well and numerous nieces and nephews. Many words could be written about Johnnie and what she meant to her family. During family gatherings she never could sit still long enough for a good game of 42, but would always be within ear shot of the kitchen making homemade pie for everyone to enjoy. Her biggest joy was seeing everyone she loved happy.
