Obituary of Maxine Hamlin

Funeral services for Maxine Hamlin, age 77, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Richardson officiating and Ronny Glossup assisting. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery with Ross Scott, Marlin Jones, Kenneth Cannon, Lyle Hynes, John McDonald and Durwood Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Tollison and Phillip Sartin. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Hamlin passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. Mrs. Hamlin was born on September 15, 1937 in Wood County the daughter of Wesley and Verma O’Neal Hall. She married Jerry Hamlin on December 17, 1955 in Lone Oak, TX. He survives. Mrs. Hamlin was a homemaker and a member of David Street Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Charles Glen Hamlin and wife Gail of Dike, TX, daughter, Beverly Lynn Tynes and husband Lyle of Arbla, TX, brother, Ray Hall of San Diego, CA, grandchildren, Katherine Janway and Amanda Hampton, great grandchildren, James Dylan Taylor, Jake Ray Hampton and Susannah Janway. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James Hall and Doyle Hall, grandson, Chad Hamlin. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
