Obituary of James L. Hamilton

Graveside services for James L. Hamilton, age 77, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Shooks Chapel Cemetery with military honors by the Hopkins County Military Coalition. Rev. Carol West will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Hamilton passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Hamilton was born on February 12, 1937 in Ardmore, OK, the son of Joseph and Ruth Calhoun Hamilton. He married Shirley Hukill and she survives. Mr. Hamilton served in the United States Army Reserves and was a CPA for Western Electric which is now AT&T. In addition to his wife he is survived by son, Eric Hamilton and wife Regina of Emory, daughter, Trae Hamilton and Marj Troyer of Irving, sister, Louella Jackson of Rodgers, AR, grandchildren, Hailey Hamilton, Tori Hamilton and Colten Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, J. T. Hamilton and J. R. Hamilton, sister, Naomi Jackson.
