I am so sorry for the loss of a great soldier of the Lord, and a great brother whom will truly be missed from my life and also the world. I will always remember the times we share of laughter, his great personal, big smile, and open arms of love to everyone he came in contact with. But we know we are here just a little while and God calls us back home and God has called His great warrior back home on high. You might be gone back home on High but never from (my)our hearts. God bless your family with strength, courage, and love to deal with the loss of a brother so great, but one day we all shall meet again on the other side. I love you and God does too! I'm praying for the family!

I visited Commerce from Pittsburg TX every summer when I was growing up. Henry and his family were my next door neighbors. He was a very kind person. I also attended college with him. My condolences to the family during this trying time. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus who can and will heal all sorrow.

My prayers are with the Relford Family. Henry was the first Relford I met when I was a little girl. My Daddy "Roger Brooksire" loved playing practical jokes on Henry when they worked at Eddie Moore TV. I remember his warm smile and his big bear hugs!!
My prayers are with each of you.

My family is thinking of yours at this time. Henry was one of my best friends in B Troop, 4/7 Cav in Korea and I knew him as a gentle giant with a heart to match. We spent many lonely hours on radio duty talking of our lives and home. I was blessed to have him as a friend at that particular time in our lives. He will be missed. Garry Owen and Rest In Peace my good friend. "Do not be dismayed at goodbyes, a farewell is necessary if friends are to meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes is certain for those who are friends."

Dear Lord, please comfort those in grief,
Love them, lift them, give relief
For loss they’ve suffered, sadness felt;
Make this sorrow slowly melt.
Lord, let happy memories ease,
Creating peace like a gentle breeze,
And as you help them make it through.
Draw them closer, Lord, to you.

Henry was a gentle, loving, and courageous man. He was and still is loved by his family and friends.
You could call on him day or night, his response would be "what do you need, I'll do it." He never gave a second thought to helping anyone; simply because he never met a stranger.
He had a laugh that would have everyone in his presence laughing. I have seem him roll on the floor laughing, he was such a joy, such a genuine pleasure.
He loved visiting my family in Cincinnati, his only request was that he got the bottom bunk to sleep on. And for a man who asked so little from others; it was a pleasure to make sure he "got the bottom bunk"
With love and fond memories.

I received a call last night of Henry's passing, it brought back memories of a very good man. This is way to early for him to leave us. We were stationed together with the 4-7 Cavalry, 2nd Infantry Division in 1973. He was assigned to the Commo Section of B Troop. He and I spent quite a bit of time together especially when we were in the field. We often occupied the same gun jeep patrolling the area near the DMZ. He was a man of character and was one of those really solid soldiers you could always depend upon. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Relford. I was in Korea in the 4/7th Cavalry with him in 1973. He was a good soldier and an asset to the unit we were in. He always had a smile and was easy going and pleasant to be around. The world will be less without him. An all around good guy!
