Obituary of Charles Leroy Cox

Funeral service for Charles “Leroy” Cox, 75, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Reese Cox, Barry Cox, Ben Anglin, Bob Waters, Ernie Pendergrass, and Zachary Shelton serving as pallbearers. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Cox passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs. He was born on May 10, 1939 in Grapevine, TX, the son of Byron and Ina Mae Watson Cox. He was an electrician for many years and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his partner in life of 27 years, Sandra Allison, sons, Barry Allen Cox and wife Shannon of Marietta, GA, Reese Cox and wife Kristi of Marietta, GA, daughter, Sharon Shedd and husband Chris of Wautaga, TX, grandchildren, Zachary Shelton, Trevor Shedd, Tyler Shedd, Kaitlynne Cox, A.J. Cox, great-grandson, Colton Shelton, brothers, Wayne Cox of Decatur, TX, sisters, Nancy Lackey of North Richland Hills, TX, JoAnn Stephens of Gladewater, TX, and 17 year old cat, Snow White.
