Oh Pat, I'm so sorry to read this after the fact. I would have been at the Kalamazoo services if I had known. I haven't talked to anyone who has heard from you in several years.
It sounds as if Phil had been in ill health for some time. You two were some of my very favorites of Dave's friends. I'm sure they are together in Heaven.
I would love to re-connect with you. Feel free to email and we can exchange numbers.
Love and Hugs,
Mary DeRyke

Makes me sad but Mr. Phill is in a better place than us. But one day we will meet again.

Pat,
I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend Phil. I’ll always remember him warmly and feel lucky that I had the pleasure of knowing him. I'll always have a special place in my heart for Phil, especially when he would attend Hopkins County Commissioners Court meetings and bring us some of his wife (your) "Pat's homemade goodies"! We would share ideas about our thoughts on community affairs and combine with Phil's memories of growing up his beloved state of Michigan and his military service in Vietnam. As County Judge, I learned so much from him, through his love for his country.
I known times won’t be the same without Phil, with all his many friends that he has made in Hopkins County, Texas, but I hope it helps a little to know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers, always.
