Linda, so sorry we had lost touch...life and it's illnesses have consumed us for the
past 3 years to where we seemingly have lost touch with most all our past friends.
We just discovered, by accident, the obituary for Travis...and want to express our
sorrow in his loss. So very sorry we didn't know of his homegoing in Oct. of 2014...
Wish there had been some way to know...we surely would have been there.
Please accept our regrets for not having kept up with you guys...and our great love
for you both, & deep appreciation for the memories of years gone by.
Blessings , and God's Peace !

Travis was a gentle giant in many ways. A very caring man who enjoyed being with his friends and family. Having known Travis since 7th grade, it is a sad time to learn of his passing. He will be missed by all his many friends as well as family.

I worked for Travis when he was City Manager for the City of Sulphur Springs. He was a very good boss and just an all around good man. We are slightly related somewhere down the line, but I'm not sure how far down the line. My condolences to the entire family.

Dear Aunt Linda,
Our family was saddened to learn of Uncle Travis' passing. We have so many wonderful memories of him. He always had such a sweet, gentle spirit and always made you feel like they were the most important person in the room. I have wonderful childhood memories of Uncle Travis. One memory in particular will stay in my heart forever. When I was 9 years old, Uncle Travis took me out fishing for the first time in my life. He taught me how to put a string on an old stick and bait it with bacon. He told me he would give me a quarter if I caught a bigger fish than him. Well, I did. He handed over the quarter. I really don't remember what I spent that quarter on, but I have never forgotten how he made me feel that day. As I visited with him in the hospital a couple of weeks ago, we both teared up and I realized those tears rolling down our cheeks were all of the special memories that we had made together. You all are in our hearts and prayers.
