Obituary of Frances Choate
Funeral services for Frances L. Choate, age 91, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathon Teague officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with grandson’s serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Choate passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. Mrs. Choate was born on January 6, 1920 in Delta County, the daughter of Royal Franklin and Julia Louise (Lemon) Small. She married Caldwell Choate in Cooper, TX, in 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Choate retired as a supervisor with H. D. Lee. She was a member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church and was an active member of the Eastern Star and Rebecca Lodge. Mrs. Choate is survived by sons, Francis Hoyte “Sonny” Choate and wife Carolyn of Kerens, Randell “Bo” Choate and wife Carolyn of Rockwall, daughter, Sherria “Shay” Rouse and husband Robert of Cooper, sister, Oleta Kimbrell of Cooper, grandchildren, Jeff Rouse, Beverly Rouse, Barry Choate and wife Sandra, Catherine Schindler and husband Ronnie, Xan Thompson and husband Todd, Kristen Hillert and husband Bobby, Lindsey Reis and husband Bill, great-grandchildren, Jake Rouse, Hunter Choate, Tanner Choate, Case Thompson, Dayton Thompson and John Schindler, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Troy Small, sisters, Edith Bryan and Irene Johnson. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
